Me, Again

So. Here I am again.
Just wanting to say something wonderfully fantastic and original.
Isn't that what everybody wants to do?
Do, say, be something more?
But I am just me, again.

The funny thing is that the harder I try to be special,
The more I lose that air of originality.
The more I try to conform to somebody else's idea
Of what I should be, the more I lose who I am.

So. Here I am again.
Saying all of the same things that so many people have said
Down through the ages and doing
Many of the same things, too.
"There is nothing new under the sun..."

And I am just me, again.
